Cahersiveen Festival of Music & the Arts – A Family Festival
Every August Bank holiday weekend Cahersiveen town is packed full of tourists from all corners of the world. They come here to enjoy the music and festivities of the Cahersiveen Festival of Music & the Arts.
The festival was started in 1995 by a few locals who saw a need for an event that would put Cahersiveen on the world stage and so the festival was born. With the main focal point being the stage in the town square up to five thousand people enjoy open air concerts. Access to the concerts is granted by wearing a wristband which can be bought in the town throughout the weekend. Only €10 for adults and €5 for children under 16.
The Bank holiday is always the first Monday of August and the festival takes place on the Friday, Saturday & Sunday before this day.
Its not all about music though. Their are tons of activities for children aswell. From street entertainment to kidz olympics and lots more. There will be plenty for all the family.
