There are many beaches in Cahersiveen and the South Kerry region. From small coves to long sandy beaches. You are spoiled for choice if you are a fan of beaches and the outdoors.
Cuas Crom Beach
Excerpt from The Sunday Independent.
For those of you the kind of endless white sand beach that Donegal (or indeed Tahiti) does so well this will have little appeal. But for those for whom actual swimming beats beach; who likes a scheduled cove rather than the frightening expanse of wide open water, the beach at Cuas Crom harbour, just beyond Cahersiveen in Jerry, is possibly the finest swim ever.

About five miles from Cahersivenn across the bridge and past the old cemetery, then past two old ring forts, a right turn takes you to a small, quite harbour.

The beach itself is stoney and you have to pick your away across the rocks to reach the water. You will not be dissapointed when you get in as it is surprisingly warm and clear.
White Strand Beach
White Strand beach is a lovely stretch of unspoiled beach, another spot not to be missed on your visit to the Ring of Kerry. As you might imagine the sands are white and this beach regularly receives the Blue Flag award but check Blue Flag Beaches for latest awards. White Strand is located 3 miles west of Cahersiveen Town. There are some great views of Valentia Island and Begnis Island.
From here you could also visit Ballycarbery Castle and Cahergal and Leacanabuaile Forts nearby.
The beach also forms part of the Valentia Harbour and Portmagee Channel Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and the Iveragh Peninsula Special Protection Area (SPA).
Ballinskelligs Beach
Beach is situated just 16km from Cahersiveen town. It is one of South Kerrys most popular beaches and is a destination for all tourists both on and off season. There is lots to do here during the Summer months, when the sun shines you can enjoy watersports from Kayaking to Snorkeling and boarding.
You can enjoy fantastic walk here during the winter months taking in spectacular scenery of the beach and McCarthys castle.
